About us

People who buy houses — and try to make a hard moment a little easier

Lucky Duck Home Buyers helps homeowners dealing with difficult property situations figure out their next step. Sometimes that means buying the house as-is. Sometimes it just means an honest conversation.

What we do

We work with people who need to sell a property that doesn’t fit the usual listing process — because of its condition, a deadline, an inheritance, or just life. We review the property and the situation, talk through the options honestly, and make a no-obligation offer when a direct sale is a good fit.

Lucky Duck Home Buyers is the public brand for this work, operated by NTAG — a home-buying company that’s been helping homeowners since 2016. We’re not a real estate brokerage and not a law firm. We work with homeowners across a growing set of markets, and we’re continuing to expand.

How we try to operate

A few things we hold ourselves to

  • 01

    Plain English

We explain things the way we’d want them explained to us — no jargon, no fine-print games.

  • 02

    No pressure

We’re not interested in talking anyone into a decision. Our job is to lay out the options clearly.

  • 03

    Honest about limits

We’re not agents or attorneys. When something’s outside what we do, we’ll tell you and point you in the right direction.

  • 04

    We do what we say

Clear communication and follow-through. If we commit to something, we follow up.

The people

Who you’ll talk to

When you’re dealing with a stressful property situation, it helps to know who’s on the other end. Here’s the team.

Beau Gumbert

Founder

Beau founded NTAG in 2016 after more than a decade in real estate, and was named one of Fort Worth’s “40 Under 40” in 2021. He’s known for treating homeowners like neighbors, not transactions — and there’s a good chance you’ll talk with him directly.

Hayden Lane

Offers & Acquisitions

Hayden looks at the property and the numbers and puts together honest, no-pressure offers. He’ll tell you straight whether selling actually makes sense for you — and he won’t push you toward a sale you don’t need.

Christian Mockabee

Homeowner Liaison

Christian is often the first person you’ll reach. He listens to what you’re dealing with, answers questions in plain language, and helps you figure out the next step at your own pace.

A few honest things up front

  • We’re not a law firm and we don’t give legal advice. For legal questions, talk to a qualified attorney or a HUD-approved housing counselor.
  • There’s no obligation. If we make an offer, you’re free to say no. Reaching out doesn’t commit you to selling.
  • We don’t guarantee outcomes. We can review your property and situation and talk through whether selling is a practical option — that’s it.
